FAQ

Questions Before You Begin

You don’t have to have it together to start. That’s the whole point.

What is inner child healing?

Your inner child is the part of you that formed beliefs about the world during childhood — beliefs like "I'm not safe," "I'm not enough," or "I have to earn love to keep it." Inner child healing is the process of returning to those younger parts of yourself with compassion, truth, and care. It's not about re-living trauma. It's about meeting the part of you that's still waiting for someone to come back for them.

Do I need to be in therapy to do this work?

No. These courses are designed for anyone who wants to understand and begin healing their inner child at their own pace. That said, if you're in therapy, this work can be a powerful complement. And if you find that deeper wounds surface as you work through the material, please reach out to a licensed therapist or counselor. Knowing when to reach further is part of this work, not a failure of it.

What is EFT Tapping?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It's a somatic practice that combines gentle tapping on specific acupressure points on your face and upper body with voiced acknowledgment of what you're feeling. When your nervous system is activated — when fight-or-flight kicks in — tapping helps interrupt that response and create enough safety for emotions to move through instead of getting stuck. You don't have to believe it will work for it to work. You just have to try.

Is this a Christian course?

It's rooted in a Christian faith perspective, but it isn't a Bible study or a theological course. The healing framework draws on the truth that you are beloved — known, seen, and held — even in your most broken places. If you don't share that faith, you'll still find the emotional and somatic practices valuable. You're welcome here regardless.

What exactly do I get when I buy a course?

Each course includes a PDF guide, a printable worksheet, and a written EFT Tapping meditation script you can use at your own pace. Everything is designed to be self-directed — no calls, no live sessions, no deadlines. You go at the pace that feels safe.

Do I have to complete it all at once?

Not at all. There are no timelines, no pressure, no grades. Some people sit with one worksheet for a week. That's not slow — that's healing. You are not behind.

What if I buy it and it's not right for me?

If you purchase a course and feel it wasn't what you needed, reach out to us at team@becoming-and-beloved.madethis.app within 7 days of purchase and we'll make it right. We want this work to land, not just sell.

Who creates these courses?

Kayla Brown — a trauma-informed Life Coach who has done this work herself. She has lived experience with complex trauma, and she has walked clients through inner child healing one-on-one. These courses are her one-on-one work, made accessible.

I'm nervous about starting. Is that normal?

Yes. Completely. The part of you that's nervous is the same part that learned a long time ago that it wasn't safe to feel. You don't have to feel ready. You just have to feel willing. That's enough to begin.

Ready to Begin?

You don’t need to be ready. You just need to be willing.
